5-Axis Laser Setter / Operator and 2-Axis Laser Setter / Operator
to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication environment in Coventry.
Working as part of the Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for setting and operating 5-axis laser cutting machinery to manufacture high-quality components in line with production schedules, engineering drawings and customer specifications.
This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes are essential.
Key Responsibilities Set and operate
5-axis laser cutting machinery , ensuring components meet drawing tolerances and customer specifications.
Manufacture components within agreed timescales and in line with the production build plan.
Read and interpret
engineering drawings
to ensure accurate machine setup and production.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required to maintain quality and efficiency.
Carry out work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure all finished components meet the required quality standards.
Report machine faults, quality issues and safety concerns promptly.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Follow all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
Support with additional duties and projects as required by management.
Experience & Skills
Essential: Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience
setting and operating 5 or axis laser machinery .
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good understanding of machine settings, tolerances and customer specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow SOPs and established manufacturing procedures.
Comfortable working to production targets, deadlines and build schedules.
Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable: Experience or knowledge of the
Prima Power control system .
Previous experience within a fabrication or precision manufacturing environment.
