Our client, a leading and innovative engineering and manufacturing business within the automotive sector, is seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Key Account Manager to join their growing team. This is a high-impact role responsible for managing strategic OEM and Tier 1 accounts while driving new business growth across the UK and beyond.

This position offers significant exposure across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial functions, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new key accounts in line with strategic objectives
  • Generate leads, explore new markets, and track industry trends
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform business decisions
  • Develop and execute annual and long-term (3-5 year) key account strategies and growth plans
  • Build detailed account plans, including competitor analysis and market positioning
  • Lead customer strategy reviews and align business objectives with client expectations
  • Manage quotations, pricing negotiations, and business acquisition activities
  • Drive value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Manage change within projects, ensuring commercially viable and mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across OEM and Tier 1 customers
  • Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring excellent customer service and communication
About You

You are a confident and credible communicator, comfortable engaging at all levels and navigating complex customer environments. You combine strong commercial awareness with a proactive, solution-focused mindset and a passion for delivering results.

Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Key Account Management, Sales, or Commercial role within automotive, engineering, or related sectors
  • Experience within Automotive or NVH markets is essential. Experience working with JLR is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to win and grow business within complex accounts
