Groomfield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client to recruit an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape commercial strategy, influence senior decision-making, and drive profitability across a dynamic and growing business.
As a Supply Chain Manager within the business, you will:
- Provide Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) for the Supply Chain and Commercial teams
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Costing, and New Product Development (NPD) to deliver competitive and innovative proposals
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform long-term supply chain and commercial strategy
- Lead and develop teams across Procurement, Inventory, Costing, Technical, and NPD
- Define and implement supply chain strategies that optimise cost, quality, and service
- Act as the supply chain lead in cross-functional and senior stakeholder meetings
- Develop and manage supplier strategies to ensure security of supply and competitive pricing
- Approve supplier contracts and major purchasing decisions within delegated authority
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain performance
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to ensure pricing models, costings, and margin structures are accurate and aligned
- Ensure alignment between customer and supplier contracts
- Support finance and sales teams with pricing analysis, profitability reviews, and forecasting
- Lead the commercial governance of NPD projects, ensuring financial and strategic alignment
- Oversee costings, sourcing strategies, and business cases for new products
- Manage material cost forecasting, risk assessments, and pricing strategies
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to ensure delivery against budgets and targets
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a Supply Chain Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in procurement, pricing, and cost management
- A track record of delivering cost savings and improving supplier performance
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, finance, and operational teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach
