Groomfield Recruitment are looking for an experienced Logistics Administration Operations Supervisor to lead a high-performing administration team within our busy Distribution Centre in Birmingham.

This is a 6 month temporary to permanent opportunity

Location: Birmingham B18

Rate of Pay: £15.71 per hour

Shift Pattern: Days between 7am-7pm with any 5 from 7 included where business needs.

Reporting to the DC Operations Manager, as the Logistics Administration Operations Supervisor you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of logistics administration activities, ensuring service levels, compliance, and cost controls are consistently met. You'll lead, coach, and develop a large administration team while supporting a fast-paced operation delivering to over 350 stores and e-commerce customers nationwide.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing an administration team across rotating shifts
  • Managing logistics and courier administration, including stock movements, delivery schedules, invoices, refunds, and investigations
  • Monitoring service levels, KPIs, budgets, and absence
  • Driving continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and health & safety standards
  • Acting as a key escalation point for administrative and system-related issues

About you:

  • Proven experience supervising administrative teams in a logistics or distribution environment
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage others
  • Comfortable working with systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office
  • ILM Level 3 and/or IOSH qualifications desirable
