Technical Support Engineer – Customer Support

Location: Tamworth
Salary: £47,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 16.45/Friday, 08.00 to 13.00

Benefits: 25 Days plus Bank Holidays, Pension, Group Profit Share, Group Pension Payment and Health Care post two years’ service.

The Role

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll deliver professional pre- and post-sales technical support to customers, distributors, and agents across global markets. You’ll assist in resolving product issues, troubleshooting technical faults, and ensuring customers receive excellent service throughout the support process.

Key Responsibilities as a Technical Support Engineer:

* Provide technical support to customers by email, phone, and in person.

* Diagnose and resolve product faults, liaising with internal teams where required.

* Manage warranty and service cases, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.

* Support production in resolving technical issues related to wiring, PLCs, HMIs, and mechanical assembly.

* Assist with testing and special product trials requiring additional technical knowledge.

* Conduct quality audits of finished products when required.

* Follow and maintain company quality and safety standards.

About You

* Strong understanding of PLC and HMI systems (Schneider preferred, Ladder Logic / ST).

* Solid electro-mechanical engineering background.

* Able to interpret wiring diagrams and follow control system documentation.

* Excellent communication skills, able to interact with global customers professionally.
