Purchasing Administrator in Birmingham

Purchasing Administrator Location: Aston, Birmingham Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm ( 30 mins lunch ) and Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm ( 30 mins lunch ) Salary: up to £29,000 per annum Benefits include: 25 days’ holiday, company pension following the qualifying period and free on-site parking. Groomfield Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join their established team in Aston. The ideal candidate will have a stable work history and previous experience in purchasing/procurement, ideally using an ERP/MRP system. You will need excellent attention to detail, strong Excel skills and a confident telephone manner. Key Responsibilities * Raising and managing purchase orders * Monitoring stock and demand across 17,000+ SKUs * Chasing suppliers and managing delivery information * Checking order acknowledgements * Sourcing alternative products * Supporting supplier performance and general administration * Manage the placement of Purchase orders through interpretation of stock and demand. About You * Purchasing/procurement experience * ERP/MRP experience desirable * Good Excel and IT skills * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Positive, analytical and solutions-focused * Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping Benefits include: 25 days’ holiday, company pension following the qualifying period and free on-site parking.
