Gro Careers is proud to be working with an exciting and ambitious start-up development company that is reshaping how projects are run and delivered in London. With a team of seven development managers, project managers, and ex-architects, all from top-tier backgrounds, this firm is at the forefront of design-led development, working directly with some of the city’s most innovative and forward-thinking investors.

They are now looking to appoint an experienced Part II or recently qualified Architect to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis, with the potential to convert into a permanent role for the right person.

The Role…

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the firm’s in-house architectural function, working under the guidance of one of the company’s Development Managers (an ex-architect themselves). You’ll be stepping into a key project that has just been submitted at Stage 2 and will play a central role as it moves into Stage 3 and through to completion.

We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded self-starter… someone with the technical design skills, initiative, and clarity of communication to push projects forward and represent the internal design voice within a development-led team.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Lead the development and coordination of design packages from Stage 3 onwards, under the guidance of the DM/Architect.
  • Produce clear, concise, and high-quality technical information.
  • Collaborate closely with internal development managers and external consultants.
  • Help shape and establish architectural processes within a client-side setting.

Projects Include…

  • Boutique residential mansion blocks
  • High-end hospitality and leisure schemes
  • Complex urban infill and regeneration projects

Software: The team works primarily in Vectorworks. Experience in this is highly desirable, however, if you have proven proficiency in another software and have the proven ability to pick up new software quickly, we still encourage you to apply.

Why This Role?...

  • Client-side exposure: Sit within a developer’s office and learn directly from top-tier development and project managers.
  • Design influence: Be part of shaping an internal architectural function from the ground up.
  • Career growth: This is a springboard into long-term client-side roles in design, development, or delivery.
  • Hybrid working: Enjoy a balanced week with 2–3 days working from home.

If you’re ready to take ownership of your work, help to build something from the inside out, and work on some of London’s most exciting new developments…. we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today with your CV, have it reviewed and if you qualify, we will be in touch ASAP to set up a call. These opportunities are rare for architectural professionals… do not delay applying!
