A leading logistics and distribution business is seeking a Regional Driver Trainer to support operations across multiple sites within Northern Ireland and the North West. This is a standalone regional position offering significant autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to shape future driver training standards across a growing operation.
This role will focus on driver development, safety, compliance, onboarding and continuous improvement, whilst working closely with operational leadership teams to support driver attraction, retention and performance.
The Role
- Conduct driving assessments for new and existing drivers
- Support driver onboarding programmes, inductions and probation reviews
- Deliver refresher training, coaching and development initiatives
- Carry out driver observations and performance assessments
- Identify training needs and implement improvement plans
- Assist with accident investigations and root cause analysis
- Deliver post-incident coaching and retraining programmes
- Create and deliver Toolbox Talks and safety briefings
- Assist with recruitment activities, interview assessments and candidate evaluations
The Person
- Previous experience within Driver Training, Driver Assessment or Transport Training
- Strong understanding of transport legislation, compliance and driver safety
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to positively influence behavioural change
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Comfortable delivering both classroom-based and practical training
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence
