Are you an experienced Senior Transport Planner, Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager looking for the next step in your career? Do you have a background in transport operations and want to make an impact in a growing business?
Overseeing a team of transport planners, as Operations Manager you will be working closely with the senior leadership team to increase efficiencies whilst upholding a high standard of customer service. Operating a fleet of HGV vehicles throughout the UK & Ireland, you will have the opportunity to lead the operations team to the next level, whilst developing staff, processes and service offerings.
If you enjoy a challenge, have a good understanding of road transport, WTD and EU legislation and excel in a constantly challenging environment, this is a great opportunity to join a growing transport firm, that will develop their staff into progressive opportunities moving forward.
The Role- Oversee the daily planning schedule and routing for vehicles.
- Accommodate additional customer orders efficiently on a daily basis.
- Work with the compliance manager to ensure that drivers hours are effectively managed and compliant.
- Assist the maintenance team in managing vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Liaise with senior management to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
- Transport Planning Experience
- Strong knowledge of EU Tachograph Laws & WTD
- Excellent customer service skills to deal with customers, drivers and third parties.
- Excellent communicator and can work in a fast-paced environment
- Good geographical knowledge of UK & Ireland
