Are you an organised administrator who enjoys keeping transport operations running smoothly? This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy logistics team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As Transport Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting daily transport operations, ensuring shipments are planned, tracked, and communicated efficiently from start to finish.
The Role:
- Work closely with Transport, Planning and Customer Service teams
- Process shipments using TSS (Trader Support Service) ensuring accurate customs documentation
- Book ferry crossings and manage transport schedules
- Monitor deliveries and provide ETA updates to customers
- Liaise with drivers, hauliers, ports and customers to ensure smooth movement of goods
- Manage and track Proof of Delivery (PODs), ensuring timely return and filing
- Raise and process invoices accurately in line with completed deliveries
- Maintain transport systems, logs and spreadsheets with up-to-date information
- Provide general administrative support within a busy transport office
The Person:
- Previous administration experience (transport/logistics experience desirable)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using IT systems, spreadsheets and transport software
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
