Are you an experienced Customs professional looking to join a fast-paced, growing business with real progression opportunities? We are working with a well-established and expanding logistics organisation seeking a Customs Clearance Agent to join their busy operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customs experience who thrives in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative, supportive team.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods across the UK, Ireland, EU and international markets, handling a wide variety of commodities.
The Role:- Preparation and submission of import & export customs declarations
- Managing documentation for UK, ROI, EU and international trade movements
- Working across controlled and non-controlled goods
- Liaising with customers, drivers and internal teams to ensure smooth clearance
- Ensuring compliance with customs legislation and internal KPI targets
- Maintaining strong attention to detail to prevent delays, duty errors or compliance issues
This is a varied role where you will become an "all-rounder" rather than being siloed into one area of customs.
The Ideal Person Will:- Have previous experience within customs clearance
- Be comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure environment
- Have strong knowledge of customs procedures (imports and/or exports)
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Have strong communication skills (email & phone)
- Be confident managing deadlines and prioritising workload
- Experience with systems such as TSS, Transit or similar platforms (desirable but not essential)
- Competitive salary (£30,000 - £32,500 DOE)
- Monthly bonus (£1,200 per annum potential)
- Paid overtime (1 weekend per month on average)
