Are you a procurement professional, keen to make an impact in a new role? A well-established and growing manufacturing business in Northern Ireland is seeking a Procurement & Transport Co-ordinator to join its operations team. This is a newly created role, offering strong exposure to group-wide procurement activity with supporting responsibility for transport and logistics coordination on an ad-hoc basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, services and goods across multiple sites. The position is ideally suited to an experienced procurement or buying professional looking to step into a broader, more influential role within a stable organisation that values autonomy, development and long-term careers.

The Role

  • Coordinating day-to-day procurement activity across direct and indirect spend
  • Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records
  • Negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value, quality and delivery terms
  • Monitoring stock levels and forecasting procurement requirements
  • Managing supplier performance and resolving delivery or quality issues
  • Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, drivers and transport providers
  • Supporting transport operations and stepping into a supervisory role when required
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, budget controls and Health & Safety standards

The Person

  • Proven background in procurement, buying or supply chain coordination
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong work ethic and integrity
