Our client, one of the largest Chambers in the UK, is a leading Barristers Chambers with offices in Bristol, Birmingham and London, specialising in many areas of law, including Business and Property, Crime, Immigration and Public Law. It has developed a reputation for breaking new ground and continues to be regarded as a forward-thinking Chambers.

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a hard-working, energetic and self-starting individual to join the highly regarded team in its Bristol office. This opportunity would suit someone looking to commence a career in a thriving legal practice or someone looking to take their Chambers career to the next level with greater responsibility and more senior duties. Suitable candidates will ideally have some experience in a professional or customer-facing environment.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have excellent people skills, be able to build strong internal and external relationships, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging circumstances. They will also have excellent time management and a keen eye for detail.

The Role

  • Diary management - scheduling conferences and hearings
  • Negotiating Barristers professional fees, assessing and entering fees/data
  • Liaising with instructing solicitors (clients) as to appropriate counsel for new instructions
  • Marketing (via social media, and in person)
  • Business development/assisting in Chambers business development initiatives
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships
  • Effective and efficient diary management
  • Management and distribution of incoming communications and instructions
  • General administration
