Our client is one of the UK's largest and fastest-growing Claimant Law Firms, combining a nationwide legal practice with a rapidly growing in-house Chambers. With a substantial volume of high-quality work, the organisation continues to expand rapidly and is committed to building one of the country's leading employed Bar practices.

As part of their clear and achievable growth strategy, we have been instructed to recruit Barristers at all levels of Call to join this expanding team at a pivotal stage and contribute to its continued development. This is an outstanding opportunity for ambitious Counsel seeking the security and benefits of employed practice, whilst continuing to undertake varied and challenging advocacy, advisory and drafting work. There is an exceptional and consistent flow of instructions covering the full spectrum of litigation, including Small Claims, Fast Track, Multi-Track, CCMCs, interlocutory applications, conferences, pleadings and advisory work.

We are keen to hear from Barristers with experience in one or more of the following:

  • Personal Injury
  • Clinical Negligence
  • Employers' Liability
  • Public Liability
  • Occupiers' Liability
  • Road Traffic Accidents
  • Civil Liberties
  • Prison Law

The successful candidates will be supported by an outstanding clerking team, led by a highly experienced Chief Clerk. They make significant efforts to ensure that workloads remain manageable within core working hours, with preparation time diarised appropriately.

Whilst nationwide travel is required, this is carefully managed to ensure a healthy balance with home/office working. Reasonable travel and subsistence expenses will be borne by the business, as will the cost of renewing your practising certificate. Separate professional indemnity insurance is not required.

You will be fully supported within Chambers by a collegiate and approachable team of barristers who are encouraging of open discussion of legal issues and ideas. You will receive mentoring from an experienced barrister, have access to comprehensive training materials and legal resources, and be provided with IT equipment and support. Clear policies are in place to ensure that instructions and papers are received in a timely and organised fashion.

We are seeking candidates who are motivated to contribute to the continued growth of Chambers while developing their own practice. Candidates must hold a current Practising Certificate. Barristers of all levels of Call will be considered.
