An experienced Employment Lawyer is required to lead a team of six Employment Lawyers in the Birmingham office of a UK law firm, dealing with high value, often complex and technically challenging employment cases including supreme court actions. The role involves managing a selective caseload and overseeing the operation of the team, providing support, guidance and assistance in development.

The Employment team acts on a wide range of employment claims such as unfair dismissal and discrimination, requiring negotiating settlements on the client's behalf. The successful Head of Employment will have extensive Employment Law experience combined with proven people management skills.

The firm has an excellent work/life balance and supportive culture with a hybrid working pattern.

The successful Head of Employment will be:

  • A qualified Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive.
  • Have proven people management experience of an Employment team.
  • Claimant private practice experience within a leading law firm.
  • Extensive Employment law experience.

Salary Circa £85,000 + bonus + attractive benefits.
