We're looking for a reliable driver to deliver, collect and set up equipment for shoots across the UK and Europe.
Our fleet is a mix of 3.5t vans (Cat B) and 7.5T+ rigid trucks (Cat C / Class 2), and you'll be expected to drive whichever vehicle the job calls for, from the smallest van to the largest rigid.
You'll be the face of Gripvan on the road and on set, so a courteous, can-do attitude matters just as much as your driving record.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive across our fleet — from 3.5t vans to 7.5T+ rigid trucks — to and from client shoots, studios and locations, as required
- Load and unload equipment carefully, following correct handling procedures
- Check vehicles daily and report any defects or maintenance needs
- Plan routes and manage timings to hit early call times and tight schedules
- Support crews on set with equipment set-up and general assistance where needed
- Keep vehicles and equipment clean, organised and ready for the next job
- Represent Gripvan professionally with clients, crew and members of the public
- During non-driving time, assist in the prep and deprep of equipment
What We're Looking For
- An interest in film, photography or the wider production industry
- A safety-first mindset — for yourself, the crew and the kit, and for other road users around you
- Courteous, friendly and helpful with clients and colleagues alike
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular loading and unloading
- Flexible and willing to work early starts, occasional lates, and the odd longer trip
- A team player who's happy to roll their sleeves up, wherever the job needs it
Essential Requirements
- Proven Right to Work in the UK
- Valid Cat B licence, for our 3.5t vans
- Valid Cat C/C1 (Class 2) licence, for our 7.5T+ rigid trucks
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 3 penalty points (no DR, DD or CD endorsements)
Desirable
- Minimum 6 Months' Class 2 Driving Experience
- Minimum 12 months' experience driving vans or larger vehicles
Perks & Benefits
- Cycle to Work scheme, plus secure indoor bike storage
- Flexible shifts where possible, to fit around early call times and family life
- Free use of equipment for your own personal projects when it's not booked out
- An extra day off for your birthday
- Regular team lunches, plus tea, coffee and snacks on tap
- Company performance bonus
