We're looking for a health and safety manager to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional to play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing working environment. Reporting to the operations manager, this is a full-time and permanent position. The working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm. The Company operates a flexible working policy, with office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday.

What is the role? We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive health and safety professional who is committed to creating a safe, compliant and fun working environment. Passionate about promoting a positive safety culture, you will be hands on and engaging in driving high standards across the business, ensuring both legal compliance and best practice are consistently achieved. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring appropriate control measures are in place
- Leading incident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
- Monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies
- Providing expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters
- Delivering training sessions and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents, audits, and compliance activities
- Liaising with external bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
- Managing and coordinating internal and external audits
- Ensuring safe systems of work are developed and adhered to
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices
- Identifying and implementing business critical safety projects and initiatives
- Promoting a stop, report, sort, approach enhancing our safety culture at all levels of the business

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally in an injection moulding environment
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and regulations
- Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities
- An ability to work under your initiative as well as part of a team
- Great attention to detail with a logical, methodical approach
- A desire to undertake training and learn new skills
- Positivity and an ability to energise others
- Good at managing interpersonal relationships
- Able to work under pressure
- NEBOSH National Diploma and relevant degree (or equivalent) is essential
- Membership of IOSH (e.g. GradIOSH or CMIOSH) is preferred but not essential
