What is the role?

The role is both challenging and varied, requiring strong commercial awareness. You will be responsible for driving growth within the RTP sector, so building and maintaining strong relationships with new and long-standing clients will be key, as will representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand our business presence. The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Developing the reusable transit packaging sales by delivering on existing projects and identifying new opportunities.
  • Cultivating strong client relationships with our longstanding customers.
  • Representing the company at events including trade shows, conferences and networking events to expand business networks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing and our ideas & innovation (R&D) department.
  • Providing regular reporting on business development activities.
  • Creating and negotiating contracts, proposals, and pricing with clients and partners.
  • Managing your own budget and responsibility for implementing and delivering strategies.
  • Collaborating with our intralogistics team to enhance wider business opportunities.
  • Targeting system integrators and consultants to demonstrate and sell Loadhog’s product offering in this sector.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations and pitches to potential new customers.
  • Ensuring the CRM system is kept up to date and utilised correctly.
  • Monitoring industry developments to identify innovative ways to gain a competitive edge.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • A passion for “hunting new business opportunities.”
  • Excellent sales, business development, and account management experience.
  • Previous experience in the logistics and reusable packaging industry – desirable but not essential.
  • Be confident in driving growth across key accounts & key sectors.
  • Be strategic in your approach with customers, with a consultative approach to selling.
  • Be articulate and assertive, able to motivate and encourage others with a natural confidence to influence and persuade customers at all levels.
  • Be commercially aware and technically competent in order to create, lead & close new projects.
  • Work well both as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to self-motivate.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A desire to undertake training and learn new skills.
  • Able to work under pressure.
