Grimshaw is an international architectural practice recognised for design excellence, technical innovation and collaborative working. Our Design Technology (DT) team plays a central role in shaping how we design, deliver and evolve our work globally.
We are looking for a BIM Lead to provide leadership within our regional studios while contributing to the practice's global Design Technology strategy.
The Role
As a BIM Lead, you will support project teams, lead and develop local BIM capability, and work closely with colleagues across our global studios. This is a people focused leadership role combining technical expertise, mentoring, collaboration and strategic thinking.

What You'll Be Doing
- Project Support
- Supporting project teams with BIM workflows, problem solving and day to day guidance
- Advising on BIM implementation at project kick off and throughout delivery
- Helping shape BIM deliverables, including BEPs and collaborative documentation
- Supporting training and knowledge sharing in BIM tools and workflows
- Working with external consultants and partners to support coordination and quality
- Studio Leadership
- Leading and supporting the local BIM and Design Technology team
- Creating an inclusive, supportive environment for learning and development with the regional studios
- Sharing, developing and driving best practice, documenting exemplar workflows and contributing to bids
- Working with studio leadership on resourcing, planning and capability development
- Representing Design Technology within the studio and local professional community
- Global Collaboration
- Contributing to global BIM standards, content and strategy
- Collaborating with BIM and DT colleagues across Grimshaw's international studios
- Sharing insights, lessons learned and innovation across regions
What You Might Bring

- Technical Experience
- Strong experience using Revit or other BIM authoring tools
- Demonstrable experience working with BIM coordination and model management
- Experience of Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms
- Experience of working within and managing BIM standards such as ISO 19650 (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting or delivering BIM on large scale projects
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience supporting, mentoring or leading others
- Confidence explaining technical concepts to people with different levels of experience
- A collaborative, thoughtful approach to problem solving
- Comfort working across disciplines, cultures and locations
Background
A degree or equivalent experience in architecture, engineering, architectural technology or a related field. Several years' experience applying and managing BIM in practice (this does not need to be linear or continuous).
