Grimes Dyke is a Platinum Award winning Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) school that prioritises play as a fundamental right for children. With extensive green space we encourage children to explore the whole school grounds during lunchtimes, regardless of the weather. A pair of wellies are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support children over lunchtimes, supervising them while they eat.
  • Supervise children in the playground, encouraging good quality play.
  • Ensure children explore safely, maintaining their safety and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Work hours: 11.45 am – 1.18 pm (7.75 hours per week).
  • Believe in open‑ended play and encourage explorative learning.
  • Have wellies suitable for outdoor play.
  • Promote a fun and safe environment for children and adults alike.
