Join our respected Metrowest Registered Investment Advisory firm as a Financial Planning Associate. In this role, you will assist with the development and expansion of our centralized financial planning department while serving as a trusted consultant for our team of advisors and their clients. Working closely with our Wealth Managers, you\’ll deliver comprehensive financial planning recommendations that ensure our clients receive tailored, sound advice to meet their unique needs.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated individual with a passion for fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will either have prior financial planning experience or be actively pursuing their CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification. Effective communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and strong organizational abilities are essential for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive client interviews to gather financial data and craft tailored strategies.
  • Develop and implement personalized financial plans using in-depth research on investments, tax strategies, and estate planning.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of income taxation, estate planning, charitable giving techniques, education funding and insurance to provide our clients with the best possible advice.
  • Maintain proactive communication through meetings, presentations, and regular reviews, ensuring exceptional client service.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports and presentations, assisting senior advisors in a fast-paced environment.
  • Partner with clients and their other advisors on recommended tax and estate planning strategies and remain informed of the latest developments in income and estate tax regulations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to compliance policies and promptly address regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and financial planning software to support analysis and reporting.

Education, Training & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Prior financial planning experience is preferred; candidates without such experience should be committed to pursuing the CFP certification (or other relevant certifications).
  • Will need to have or attain a Series 65 IAR.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., MoneyGuidePro, eMoney) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
