To plan, manage and coordinate scheduling activities using the company’s ERP system, with responsibility for planning, tracking, and updating schedules to ensure the efficient and timely execution of operational workflows. This role plays a key part in ensuring resources are effectively allocated and deadlines are met across departments.

Objectives

  • Develop and maintain accurate production, project and service schedules using the company’s ERP system.
  • Coordinate with departments such as shipyard, design, procurement, stores, and sales to ensure alignment with scheduling priorities.
  • Monitor daily progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand, resource availability, or operational constraints.
  • Analyse ERP-generated data to identify delays, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies, and recommend solutions.
  • Generate and distribute reports on scheduling performance, delivery timelines, and resource utilisation.
  • Ensure that scheduling information in the ERP system is accurate, current and complete.
  • Participate in regular planning meetings and communicate schedule updates to planning supervisor and team.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to process optimisation and best practices.
  • Identify material constraints and liaise with relevant departments, including Procurement, to ensure timely availability of materials and minimise disruption to schedules.
  • Identify overloaded capacity and reschedule to meet job completion dates to ensure on time delivery.
  • Work constructively and participate as part of the team.
  • Achieve good attendance, productivity and attitude.
  • Work in a problem solving way with other members of the team.
  • Maintain personal standards for Health and safety.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a good understanding of design processes.
  • Essential: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a scheduling role within a manufacturing or project environment.
  • Desirable: Minimum 5 years’ experience using Epicor ERP for scheduling, or equivalent ERP System Experience.
