To plan, manage and coordinate scheduling activities using the company's ERP system, with responsibility for planning, tracking, and updating schedules to ensure the efficient and timely execution of operational workflows. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate production, project and service schedules using the company's ERP system.
- Coordinate with departments such as shipyard, design, procurement, stores, and sales to ensure alignment with scheduling priorities.
- Monitor daily progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand, resource availability, or operational constraints.
- Analyse ERP-generated data to identify delays, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies, and recommend solutions.
- Generate and distribute reports on scheduling performance, delivery timelines, and resource utilisation.
- Ensure that scheduling information in the ERP system is accurate, current and complete.
- Participate in regular planning meetings and communicate schedule updates to planning supervisor and team.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to process optimisation and best practices.
- Identify material constraints and liaise with relevant departments, including Procurement, to ensure timely availability of materials and minimise disruption to schedules.
- Identify overloaded capacity and reschedule to meet job completion dates to ensure on time delivery.
- Work constructively and participate as part of the team.
- Achieve good attendance, productivity and attitude.
- Work in a problem solving way with other members of the team.
- Maintain personal standards for Health and safety.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a good understanding of design processes.
Qualifications
Essential: Minimum 5 years' experience in a scheduling role within a manufacturing or project environment.
Desirable: Minimum 5 years' experience using Epicor ERP for scheduling, or equivalent ERP System Experience.
