Aluminium Welders Wanted – Join an Award-Winning Shipyard. Griffon Marine is expanding its elite welding team at Trafalgar Wharf, Portchester.
We are looking for 8 Welders to join our Portchester Team on a Permanent basis.
Job Purpose: The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for performing fabrication and welding tasks, maintaining high-quality to ensure production standards are met within the agreed timeframes.
Objectives:
- Measure, cut, form, and prepare aluminium components for fabrication.
- Fit and assemble aluminium parts, ensuring correct alignment and tolerances.
- Perform high-quality aluminium welding (MIG and/or TIG) to required specifications.
- Grind, dress, and finish welded joints for smooth appearance and structural integrity.
- Assemble sub-assemblies and attach them to the main structure.
- Operate and maintain fabrication tools, welding equipment, and safety gear.
- Maintain standards for Health and safety within the department.
- Take responsibility to ensure that the company’s environmental policies are enforced in full.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Ability to generate a positive project and team ethos.
- Proven experience in aluminium fabrication and welding.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
