Job Description

The successful candidate will become a qualified Fabricator and Welder. At Griffon Hoverwork we commit to the highest standards of professionalism, ensuring quality at every stage, which leads to exceptional products and services at the best value and expect the same from our partners.​

Areas of Accountability and Responsibility

  • Assisting in sheet metal cutting and bending
  • Assisting in sheet metal fabrication and fitting
  • Learning how to fit out and assembly on vessel
  • The ability to learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • To learn and gain experience in metal hot work including procedures, coding’s and joining complex structures together by the fusion of metal (welding)
  • Learning the process of ship repair to Lloyds register group limited standards

Qualifications and experience

  • Able to work on own initiative
  • To learn and understand how to work to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Be willing to make an active contribution to continuous improvement
  • To be able to work to a high standard
  • Good communicator
  • To learn and understand ISO procedure for quality
