Griffiths & Hood Ltd is a family-run office furniture manufacturer established in 1964. Based in Leigh-on-Sea, we produce bespoke office furniture, panels, and joinery using veneer, laminate, melamine, MDF, plywood, solid timber, and more. We are looking for an experienced Lacquer / Paint Sprayer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly, well-established company where your skills and input will make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, prime, and spray furniture components and panels to a high-quality finish.
- Mix and match colours, stains, and lacquers to achieve required finishes.
- Working with AC, PU, acrylic and water-based systems (training will be provided if required).
- Maintain spray equipment and booths to ensure consistent results and reliability.
- Inspect finished work for quality and consistency, correcting defects where needed.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production deadlines and maintain high standards.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in furniture or joinery finishing, with spray painting or lacquering experience.
- Strong understanding of different coatings, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work with both clear and coloured finishes on veneer, MDF, and solid timber.
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
