We are looking to hire an RFIC – System Designer within the Electronics/RF team to enable Quantum technologies. Passionate about helping create technologies which can change the world? What You’ll Accomplish:

  1. Lead the design and architecture activities for RF and RFIC delivery systems.
  2. Oversee all RF and RFIC aspects of design, simulation, testing methodologies, integration, verification, and testing.
  3. Document RF and RFIC circuits and verification tests comprehensively.
  4. Expand your expertise across various engineering domains.
  5. Collaborate with electronics engineers, RF engineers, chip designers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists to achieve common goals.
  6. Ensure the use of cutting-edge RF and RFIC solutions.
  7. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.
  8. Participate in project planning, risk management, and scheduling.
  9. Contribute to rapid proof-of-concept developments and feasibility discussions.

  1. Extensive RF front and backend design experience (VHF – X-band).
  2. Proven hands-on experience in designing complex commercial RF and RFIC systems from concept to delivery.
  3. Proficiency with FEA tools, particularly Ansys Maxwell and HFSS.

Must-have Skills:

  1. At least 8 years of practical experience in RF and RFIC design.
  2. Expertise in developing and executing test plans for complex RF and RFIC systems.
  3. Knowledge of low noise design techniques and testing low noise RF and RFIC systems.
  4. Demonstrated success in bringing RF and RFIC subsystem designs to market.
  5. Proficiency with FEA tools, especially Ansys Maxwell and HFSS.
  6. Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
  7. Strong documentation skills.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
  9. A minimum of a 2.1 BEng/BSc Degree in System or Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Nice-to-have Skills:

  1. Experience in analogue design.
  2. PCB design experience (VHF-X-band).
  3. Familiarity with the RF and RFIC vendor supply chain.
  4. Pragmatic approach to decision-making and design choices.
  5. Experience in team and/or project management.
