Rise and Fall is a fast growing direct-to-consumer Lifestyle Brand. Our ethos is to provide consumers with the highest quality products, from the world’s best factories, at incredible prices. Over the last 5 years we have grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s most loved bedding brands. We have now closed a fundraise from some of the most high-profile early-stage investors in the UK and Australasia and are preparing to expand the brand into multiple new categories and enter a phase of rapid expansion.
As our product category continues to expand we are looking for someone to join our team and assist us in developing homeware product categories and working alongside the design and development team. You will help follow the product from initial concept through to production. You will have a lot of responsibility and opportunity for growth during this exciting time of the business.
We are looking for a self-starter, a highly organised Product Developer who will provide cross-functional support to our design and development team. As a detail-oriented problem solver, you will always be looking at innovative ways to resolve issues and to streamline processes to ensure our PD and Design team works seamlessly. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker, passionate about product, and approach each day with a positive attitude. You will be highly organised, proactive, and love working as part of a team and tackling tasks with a can-do approach. We are looking for someone who has experience within the tableware homeware market and is open to working across categories of a small lifestyle business.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end development process ensuring highest quality standards for the delivery window per season.
- Working closely with the design team, provide assistance in the development of new product ideas.
- Responsible for the creation of product specs and keeping up to date on new SKU creation.
- Liaise with factories and ensure Tech Packs/BOMs are clear, concise and complete with trim info, lead time, price etc.
- Ensure all working documents are kept up to date and relevant to ensure wider teams use the correct information.
- Oversee the critical path, following the product life cycle from initial concept through to ex-fty.
- Ensure all end-to-end stages keep in line with key set dates, working closely with both product and technical teams.
- BOM management with material, design or price changes to the suppliers for costing.
- Liaising with suppliers throughout the development process to ensure samples are delivered on time and meet the initial brief set by Head of Design.
- Ensure all business tools are updated with correct information to ensure a smooth handover to Production.
- Sourcing trims and hardware are in line with the design aesthetic and meet brand guidelines.
- Leading on packaging development with suppliers and creating manuals to support new development.
- Assist the Head of Merchandising with cross costing packs and setting up of new suppliers.
- Support the operations team in press samples co-ordination.
- Support production meetings and follow ups with suppliers.
Skills:
- Experience working for a homeware brand at a premium to luxury level.
- Experience in table top and hardgoods development.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise, work well under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
