As an Operations Analyst, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our newly launched liquidity strategy and of our lending and venture capital funds. You will support the front office with the operational needs of their transactions, and ensure timely and accurate release of corporate actions and NAV calculations. This role provides a unique perspective on how strategic and tactical investment management decisions impact our investors.
A dynamic, adaptive, and hands-on attitude is crucial to excel in this role. You will manage operational relationships with a diverse range of global fintech lenders, while maintaining close communication with the funds’ stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the trade settlement process of CLO and ABS securities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Liaise with traders, brokers, and custodians to resolve trade discrepancies and operational issues.
- Ensure the timely release of the credit funds’ monthly NAVs.
- Introduce process improvements for NAV production to reduce turnaround times, enhance accuracy, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Calculate monthly shadow NAVs and manage the NAV production and delivery cycle with key service providers.
- Oversee the execution and compliance of all administrative and corporate requirements to ensure the smooth operation of fund and non-fund investment vehicles.
- Document and communicate processes effectively.
- Liaise with auditors throughout the audit cycle of credit and venture vehicles, ensuring the accurate production and timely release of audited financials within commercially agreed and statutory deadlines.
- Manage operational relationships with external fintech lenders and collaborate closely with the front office to advance these partnerships.
- Ensure all rights and obligations with fintech lenders and service providers are fulfilled.
- Maintain thorough control over reports, ensuring technology integrations and automations are implemented.
- Monitor daily cash payments, settlements, and post-trade reconciliations, taking immediate remedial actions in case of failures.
- Project manage large-scale initiatives such as the operational setup of newly incorporated entities or the onboarding of new service providers.
Qualifications
- A motivated, hands-on, and energetic attitude towards taking ownership of responsibilities and always striving to go the extra mile.
- Middle or Back Office experience on full trade cycle of CLO, ABS and other structured finance transactions within large financial institutions.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate, coupled with a high degree of autonomy and resourcefulness.
- Alertness and the ability to leverage knowledge from various situations, applying it to similar scenarios.
- A genuine interest in fintech, alternative lending, and complex securitisation transactions.
- Attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management, negotiation, influencing, and self-learning.
- Basic accounting knowledge, with an understanding of the differences and relationships between a balance sheet, a P&L statement, and a cash flow statement.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to automate tasks using VBA, SQL, or other programming languages, even when assisted by AI tools.
