GamesRadar is the games, movies, TV, and comics website that upgrades your downtime; helping you spend your free time wisely. We're looking for an experienced Entertainment Managing Editor to take our movie and TV coverage to the next level.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you'll be responsible for maintaining and driving growth of all the entertainment (TV and movie content) on GamesRadar, as well as managing and developing the TV and film content team. You'll have responsibility over the creation and updating of all entertainment news, features, reviews, and SEO-focused content for the site, ensuring that you and your team are delivering a high volume of daily articles to agreed targets, and helping deliver content in other formats, including on social media, video, event/junket coverage, liveblogs, and in email newsletters.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- A passion for TV and film - particularly genre entertainment where it crosses over with games (sci-fi, fantasy, action, horror, anime, etc)
- Understanding of streaming services and consumer behaviour - both in the UK and US
- Experience developing a channel or content type on a large-scale website
- Experience writing and managing the production of ecommerce-related content
- Experience managing a team of writers, commissioning freelancers and monthly budget management
- A good understanding of SEO best practices
