Zaizi is looking for an experienced Lead Product Manager who will be working with a secure government client to help them develop user-focused roadmaps for critical products. The client has specifically asked for someone to challenge their thinking and shake things up. The products are complex and of national importance. You will have full autonomy to work as you see fit and will be supported by experienced agile multi-disciplinary teams to work with users to co-design, prioritise and bring your ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead one or more multidisciplinary Agile teams to identify problems, co-design and deliver solutions that find the balance between users’ needs, organisation goals and sustainability.
- Form an effective partnership with client product owners and stakeholders.
- Lead on negotiation about the most value outcomes we can deliver.
- Improve the product management capability at Zaizi by mentoring and coaching others.
What You Will Achieve at Zaizi:
You’ll have a demonstrable passion for delivery with the following skills and experience:
- Product ownership – as an expert in product management, be able to use a range of techniques to work with a multidisciplinary team and translate user needs into deliverables, including writing stories and acceptance criteria.
- Product management – able to develop and maintain product roadmaps, define minimum viable product, and make good decisions about priorities with sometimes limited information.
- Agile working – strong experience working as part of Agile or Kanban teams.
- Lifecycle experience – able to successfully lead teams through the full product lifecycle, including Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live.
- User focus – understand users and deliver products and services that meet their needs.
- Stakeholder management – able to facilitate buy-in from senior management and effectively partner with clients.
- Analysis and research – be comfortable using a range of evidence to support decisions.
- Communication – excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Minimum Requirements:
SC Clearance: Zaizi works with UK Central Government departments on a range of projects. To be able to work on our customer projects, employees must be Security Cleared to a standard acceptable to our Government customers. Due to this restriction, we can currently only recruit candidates who have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and who have lived in the UK for the last 5+ years continuously.
Interview Process:
- Initial phone screening done by a member of the recruitment team.
- Technical interview, this stage evaluates your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities.
- 10-15 min presentation and a panel interview where multiple people from different departments ask you questions.
