The Role

The Operations team at Javelin manages the reconciliation, confirmation, and settlement of commodity products. Working closely with the Logistics team and traders, Operations ensures that risk is captured accurately and that the full lifecycle of the trade is effectively supported.

As the business continues to expand, we are looking for a motivated individual to join the Documentation group within our Operations team. This dynamic role will complement the responsibilities of other team members and contribute to achieving the Operations Group’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • T+1 Trade checkouts
  • Drafting and reviewing physical and financial contracts for various commodities
  • Liaising with the Trading/Logistics team to resolve queries and discrepancies
  • Maintenance of Confirm reporting database
  • Reconciling OTC and Exchange Traded positions
  • Documenting processes and procedures
  • Project Management

We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive candidate with previous experience in a Commodity Operations role. Key qualifications include:

  • A strong work ethic to drive the team forward with technology-based solutions
  • Demonstrable organizational skills
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload, assessing the priority and urgency of requests and issues
  • Excellent attention to detail
