The Development Manager is responsible for managing a pipeline of projects through the development process to construction. The role is accountable for project development budgets and programmes, and driving collaboration between multi-disciplinary stakeholders from Site Origination, Legal, Commercial, Engineering, H&S, Procurement and Delivery to achieve targets.

  • Project Development Management
  • Successfully manage a volume of projects through the pre-construction Development phases.
  • Accountable for the cost, time and quality of assigned development projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to execute the development process.
  • Bring project leadership to a multi-disciplinary team to execute a project plan.
  • Pipeline Scheduling, Risk and Quality Management
  • Identify, manage and report risk across the project pipeline, ensuring predictability of programme and cost.
  • Deliver on assigned annual targets for ‘Start on Sites’ within the allocated development budget.
  • Effectively manage supply chain partners in permitting (planning), legal and grid connection design.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics, including anti-bribery policy, Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001).

Experience overseeing key development activities in property development, EV Charging or a related sector. Proven track record of successfully achieving development milestones including consents, property legal agreements and co-ordination of a design process. Experience in managing a high-volume project pipeline, ideally to include a key institutional landlord portfolio. Project management – competent in managing programme, risk and quality across multiple projects. Ability and willingness to travel to GRIDSERVE sites when required. Competent at using Project Management software (including MS Projects). Full UK driving license.
