We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Technology Delivery Team to drive the successful implementation of technology solutions for our growing EV Charging Network. This pivotal role will report to the Head of Technology Delivery and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of both digital (Software and Business Systems) and physical technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The Delivery Manager will act as a key enabler, fostering collaboration between cross-functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full lifecycle of technology projects from initiation through to delivery and closure.
Proactively engage and manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including business owners, engineering teams, operations, commercial teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.
Work closely with the Head of Technology Delivery and other senior leaders to define and refine delivery strategies, roadmaps, and detailed project plans.
Facilitate governance ceremonies for Technology teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Identify, mitigate and track project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and escalating critical items as necessary.
Oversee project budgets, track expenditure, and manage resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective use of company assets.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide regular, clear, and concise updates on project status, progress, and key metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
Ensure that all delivered solutions meet the defined business requirements, working closely with engineering teams to drive quality assurance.
Person Specification
Required Experience
Experience in a dedicated Project Manager or Delivery Manager role, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
Demonstrable experience managing projects encompassing both software solutions and physical technology deployments (e.g., hardware, network infrastructure, EV charging equipment).
Experience managing a wide range of projects and leading cross-functional initiatives with internal and external teams.
Experience in cross-functional teams in which individual contributors are comfortable adapting and supporting multiple roles.
Required Skills and Abilities
Build and manage delivery scope and plans whilst effectively managing dependencies and risks across concurrent project initiatives
Sufficient technical understanding to engage effectively with engineering teams and understand technical challenges and dependencies.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage expectations across all levels and functions of the organisation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-oriented approach and attention to detail.
A proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Ability to adapt delivery methodologies to suit project needs.
Identify opportunities to improve best practices within the organisation.
Interest and knowledge of the EV charging industry is desirable.
