GRIDSERVE is transforming the future of electric mobility — and we’re looking for a high‑energy, commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate our next wave of growth. As a senior, outward‑facing role, you will lead the identification, development and conversion of high‑value commercial partnerships that enhance customer experience and deliver measurable commercial impact. You’ll champion GRIDSERVE’s propositions across Electric Hubs, Electric Forecourts®, the roaming ecosystem and digital platforms — working cross‑functionally to take opportunities from concept to execution. This role suits someone who thrives on momentum, enjoys meeting partners face‑to‑face, and brings confidence, curiosity and commercial acumen to every interaction.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commercial Partnerships & Revenue Growth
- Identify, pursue and secure strategic commercial partnerships across brand activations, sponsorships, media, fleet, and adjacent sectors.
- Lead the commercialisation of GRIDSERVE’s owned media, including onsite digital screens, experiential zones and digital channels.
- Develop compelling, insight‑led commercial proposals aligned to GRIDSERVE’s strategic and customer experience objectives.
- Negotiate and secure high‑value, multi‑year commercial agreements that deliver meaningful revenue and long‑term partner value.
- Sales Activation, Lead Generation & Market Expansion
- Build and manage a dynamic sales pipeline, proactively sourcing new opportunities and nurturing inbound and outbound leads.
- Represent GRIDSERVE externally with confidence and energy at industry events, conferences, partner meetings and site visits.
- Drive momentum through the sales process from first engagement to close, ensuring high conversion and long‑term partner satisfaction.
- Roaming Partnerships & Interoperability Growth
- Manage and expand GRIDSERVE’s roaming partnerships with eMSPs.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, onboarding processes and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless technical integration, data exchange and accurate billing.
- Use data insights to improve roaming utilisation, pricing performance and partner value.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Development, Technology and Finance to enable seamless execution of partnerships.
- Translate commercial agreements into operational reality, ensuring sites, digital platforms and customer experiences support agreed initiatives.
- Support commercial modelling, business cases and investment decisions.
- Strategic Business Development & Innovation
- Lead early‑stage pilots and partnership concepts that unlock new revenue models and customer experience enhancements.
- Monitor industry trends, roaming developments, competitor activity and market opportunities.
- Identify innovative commercial frameworks that scale across GRIDSERVE’s ecosystem.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Required Experience
- 6+ years’ experience in business development, commercial partnerships, strategic sales or similar senior B2B roles.
- Demonstrable track record of securing and delivering high‑value commercial partnerships.
- Experience working across media, retail, EV, energy, mobility or adjacent sectors (desirable).
- Strong commercial modelling, negotiation and contract management experience.
- Required Skills and Abilities

- 30–50% nationwide travel expected for partner meetings, events and site visits.
