What's this role about?

Key Responsibilities

This leadership role is responsible for defining where Grid Beyond competes, how it enters new markets, and how it maximises value from existing products and capabilities.

Working closely with Product, Trading, Engineering, Commercial, Finance and Executive Leadership, you will identify emerging opportunities, evaluate market risks and ensure the organisation remains ahead of changing regulatory environments.

You will translate complex market dynamics into clear commercial strategies that accelerate growth while protecting the business from unnecessary risk.

What will my responsibilities be?

  • European Market Strategy
  • Develop and own Grid Beyond's market strategy across all regions, particular focus on UK and Ireland but a watchful eye to be maintained on some key continental markets.
  • Ensure Grid Beyond is on top of all opportunities and threats to the business from the evolving regulatory landscape in the UK and Ireland
  • Evaluate commercial attractiveness of new geographies.
  • Develop market entry business cases for new markets in existing jurisdictions primarily with a watching brief on new geographies.
  • Define strategic growth roadmaps for each market.
  • Regulatory Strategy
  • Monitor regulatory developments primarily in UK & Ireland with watching brief on continent
  • Represent Grid Beyond with regulators, TSOs, ISOs, utilities and industry bodies.
  • Influence policy where appropriate.
  • Ensure Grid Beyond is positioned to maximise future market opportunities.
  • Lead regulatory consultation responses.
