About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering critical technology solutions within a global investment banking environment.
The role is focused on building secure, scalable and production-grade applications using modern Java technologies.
You will work across backend services and APIs, contribute to architectural decisions and help ensure applications meet the high security and engineering standards expected within financial services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
- Work with Kafka and messaging technologies to support high-volume distributed systems.
- Develop against Oracle and SQL databases, with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable and production-ready code.
- Apply TDD and automated testing throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
- Investigate and resolve production issues and technical defects.
- Work within Agile development teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Maintain high standards around application security and software quality.
