About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Golang Developer to join a high-performing engineering team in London. This is a hands-on development role focused predominantly on Golang, where you will be responsible for designing, building, testing and delivering production-quality software. You will have ownership across the full development lifecycle and play an active role in maintaining the reliability and quality of the platform.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features, enhancements and fixes using Golang.
- Own the full software delivery lifecycle from development through to production release.
- Produce high-quality, reliable and maintainable production code.
- Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
- Participate in technical code reviews, both as a contributor and reviewer.
- Integrate development work into existing CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues effectively.
- Contribute to engineering standards, coding practices and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with other developers and wider engineering teams.
- Participate in stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and other team ceremonies.
- Support production stability and participate in an on‑call rota where required.
- Provide appropriate technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and handover.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing applications with Golang / Go.
- Senior-level software engineering experience within a production environment.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices.
- Experience with automated testing and test‑driven development principles.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
- Strong knowledge of version control and collaborative development practices.
- Excellent debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience working with production systems and taking ownership of delivered software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
