We are seeking a talented Japanese-speaking Data Analyst with broad language and country experience to join a pioneering multinational company at the forefront of software, mobile, and tablet innovation. Responsibilities:

  • Define and refine key metrics to measure feature success and user engagement.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights that enhance the user experience.
  • Design and conduct experiments to test new ideas and features.
  • Develop innovative strategies and ideas to improve existing features and explore future product directions.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and engineering teams to prioritize features and ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Create and present regular insights reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.
  • Vet new algorithms and features, supervise external vendor ratings, and provide constructive feedback to engineering teams.
  • Lead training sessions and mentor fellow analysts to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Utilize native-level proficiency in the Japanese language to analyze conversation data and to adapt the content to fit the culture and expectations of Japanese-speaking users.
  • Expertise in analyzing large datasets, problem-solving, and deriving insights to enhance user experience.
  • Proficiency in data-querying tools such as SQL, Splunk, or similar.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python for data processing and development.
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, with the ability to create compelling dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to bring innovative ideas to the table.
  • Overlap till 11 AM PDT / 7 PM UK; flexibility to collaborate across time zones.
