The Head of Audit, Risk & Assurance is a critical leadership role reporting directly to the CFO, providing independent assurance to the board and audit committee. In the role, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the risk and audit frameworks, ensuring a strong internal controls environment and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will shape and execute a risk-based audit strategy, overseeing audits across key business areas including project delivery, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The role will lead on sector-specific risk processes, contribute to strategic decision-making, and work closely with senior stakeholders including the CFO, CEO, and external auditors. There is also a strong focus on driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance both operational resilience and financial performance.

The role requires a qualified audit leader with experience in internal audit & risk management within large, complex organisations or from an internal audit outsourced environment with a leading firm. You will have the ability to collaborate with the executive team to drive strategic initiatives and deliver value-added solutions.

This is a compelling opportunity and comes with a six-figure base salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The position is primarily based in the Midlands, with UK-wide travel to audit sites.
