GRG Executive has exclusively partnered with a dynamic international Logistics business, seeking a motivated Commercial Operations & Excellence Director to oversee the development their cross-functional Commercial offering globally This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast paced entrepreneurial environment with growth plans on a global scale!

Key Duties:

  • Business development support
  • Deal structuring
  • Pricing strategies – (Multimodal)
  • Proposal development
  • Product and Service innovation
  • Business insights and commercial analytics
  • Market insights (competitor knowledge!)
  • Partner / supplier – legal, contract
  • CRM – ensuring existing CRM is fully utilised.

Additional information:

  1. Sales Support (including Pricing): Assists all sectors with deal structuring, pricing strategies, and client proposals.
  2. Bid & Proposal Management (RFP/RFQ Support): Manages large tenders, proposal writing, and complex pricing models.
  3. Commercial Analytics & Performance Reporting: Provides data insights on sales performance, margins, and sector-specific KPIs.
  4. Client Relationship Management (CRM) & Key Accounts: Manages major client relationships, improves retention, and streamlines cross-sector opportunities

The Ideal Background:

  • Strong Multimodal Freight forwarding background
  • Strong background of Pricing and other commercial elements of forwarding
  • Some secure logistics experience, working with products that are moving using airlines VALUABLE services (VAL)
  • Need awareness / understanding of CargoWise
  • Experience managing a 3rd party supplier network, building up quotes, using multiple costs. Ideally within a small to medium sized freight forwarding or 3PL business.
  • Strong experience in commercial reporting and presenting up to Executive level.
  • Strong CRM (ideally Monday.com knowledge)
  • Experience in reviewing, changing and implementing new sales processes and procedures. Ideally using best-in-class methodologies to create a strong performing sales support function.
  • Has managed, coached and led a high performing team.
