Finance Manager (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, for an interim Finance Manager in South West London on a 12 month contract.
Overview:
The Finance Manager (Maternity Cover) will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance and strategic direction of the business. This role will oversee key financial processes, deliver accurate and timely reporting, and support decision‑making at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weekly KPI Reporting: Compile and analyse weekly key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Review of Management Accounts: Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring they are accurate and aligned with company policies. Perform detailed variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance.
- Production of Consolidated Board Pack: Prepare and deliver a comprehensive board pack that consolidates financial and operational performance data. Ensure the pack is clear, concise, and provides insights to support board‑level discussions.
- Cashflow Management: Maintain and update cashflow forecasts, ensuring the business has sufficient liquidity for operations and growth. Identify and address any cashflow risks proactively.
- Review VAT Returns: Ensure VAT returns are accurate and submitted in compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Review and improve processes: Ensure efficiency and compliance across financial processes.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum five years of experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, cashflow management, VAT and compliance.
- Ability to interpret financial data, perform variance analysis, and deliver insights.
- Proficiency in Sage and Xero accounting software (desirable), and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
