An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, for a Digital Learning Specialist / IT Trainer in South Wales. This role involves collaborating with educators to create engaging and effective digital content, utilising the latest technologies to facilitate learning and development. The specialist is also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of digital programmes and making data-driven decisions to ensure the continuous improvement of programmes and content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional digital learning experiences for education and business customers.
  • Deliver a range of in person digital skills training programmes to customers of varying confidence/competence.
  • Develop engaging learning content for digital skills delivery, ensuring it is tailored and contextualised according to customer/sector/needs.
  • Contribute to the design and development of eLearning content for internal products/learning management systems.
  • Contribute to the design and development of eLearning content for customers, aligned to their individual learning needs.
  • Design and deliver engaging digital learning content tailored to a variety of learning styles and needs.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and digital resources to support learning objectives.
  • Provide training and support to education and business customers in the effective use of digital learning tools.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of digital learning programs, using learner and employer feedback to inform future change.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in e-learning and educational technology, recommending enhancements to current practices.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the smooth operation and accessibility of digital learning platforms.
  • Advocate for digital literacy and the ethical use of technology in learning environments.
  • Advocate for the transformative power of digital learning, both within the organisation and in the broader educational community.

  • Exceptional digital competence, ideally across Microsoft, Google, and Apple solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong administration ability with a keen eye for detail.
  • Highly organised and punctual.
  • TAQA qualified or equivalent.
  • Ability to react flexibly under pressure and to work to tight deadlines.
  • Full driving licence, willing to travel across South Wales.
  • EWC registered.
  • Relevant teaching qualification.
  • Certifications in relevant areas e.g. Certified Trainer Status (Google/Microsoft/Apple).
  • Knowledge of Work Based Learning operating model.
  • Welsh speaker.
