Job Description Summary

The Procurement Manager will take a proactive role in benefits identification, building a pipeline of procurement activity that delivers commercial and service benefits to operational teams across more than 150 properties in the UK&I portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage local stakeholders to demonstrate procurement value; build internal relationships and ensure procurement is involved in relevant sourcing activity.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, educate stakeholders on system use, supplier onboarding, PO creation, P‑card set‑up.
  • Maintain effective supplier engagement; keep up‑to‑date with local supply chain/market and recommend new providers as needed.
  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement processes: sourcing strategies, supplier identification, tender document creation, commercial negotiations, and spend analysis.
  • Assist in defining supplier requirements and expectations (scopes of work, SLAs, performance procedures).
  • Ensure effective delivery of goods and services and support onboarding/due diligence for new suppliers.
  • Use Luminance (CLM) to administer the contract lifecycle—generation, negotiation, approval, storage.
  • Compile contract summaries and manage SRM/supplier performance activity; act as escalation point for supplier issues.
  • Manage reporting requirements such as spend analysis and vendor performance/feedback.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets, databases, and records for departmental operations.
  • Support the creation and distribution of procurement policies, processes, tools, and templates.
  • Engage UK&I stakeholders and European procurement team; support governance procedures and proactive communications.
  • Lead regional sourcing activities and other initiatives such as supply chain ESG as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support role performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5years of procurement experience; 3+years in a Procurement/Category Manager role.
  • Experience sourcing across multiple operational categories – Hard Services (repairs & maintenance) and Soft Services (cleaning, guarding, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the UK&I supply market and strong supplier relationships.
  • Experience negotiating contracts under English law.
  • Proficiency with procurement technology/finance systems (e. g., CLM platforms) and IT skills (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook at intermediate level; Power BI beneficial).
  • Fluent in English; a second European language is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities; ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship‑building, and stakeholder‑influence capabilities.
  • Self‑starter capable of working independently and within a team; discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Previous experience in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • MCIPS certification (achieved or in progress) preferred but not essential.
