The Analyst supports Greystar's Investment function, focusing on new acquisition and development activities in the Nordics.
Responsibilities include underwriting investment opportunities, carrying out financial analyses to aid decision‑making, performing market research, and producing investment memoranda. The role also involves presenting key performance data to internal stakeholders and external investment partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior real‑estate professionals in sourcing, preparing, and presenting new investment memoranda; financing or disposition recommendations; and updates on existing investments or portfolio status.
- Gather, compile, investigate, and analyze market data to identify investment and development opportunities and enhance current research sources.
- Conduct financial analysis and underwriting of investment opportunities, including creation of detailed multi‑tier pro‑forma waterfall models.
- Manage acquisition due diligence processes and closings with outside counterparties.
- Assist with asset management and value‑add execution of existing portfolio assets.
- Investigate potential acquisitions, competitive properties, and market fundamentals.
- Actively engage with owners, brokers, equity partners, lenders, attorneys, consultants, and other related internal departments as appropriate.
- Proactively develop industry relationships and potential deal‑sourcing networks.
Qualifications
- Degree in finance, business management, real estate, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, science, or engineering.
- IT literate, fully conversant with Microsoft PowerPoint (advanced) and Excel (advanced).
- Strong qualitative analytical skills with the ability to research, analyze, and present complex financial data.
- Excellent numerical acumen and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to write and present strategic or investment theses.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships at all levels.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Inquisitive, commercially minded, and eager to understand the big picture and solve problems.
- Team player with an adaptable, flexible, and collaborative approach to achieve results.
