Job Description Summary
We’re seeking a strategic, self‑directed deal professional to help identify, evaluate, and execute mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments across our global platform. The primary focus of this role will be Europe and APAC, though we are open to this role sitting in London, UK or the United States. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning workstreams from market mapping and target screening through diligence, execution, and handoff to integration.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain M&A strategy and target pipelines across regions and business lines.
- Assist with target identification, outreach, and relationship development with sellers, advisors, and intermediaries.
- Build and review financial models, valuations, and investment cases for executive‑level decisions.
- Independently manage due diligence workstreams in partnership with Finance, Legal, Tax, HR, and Operations.
- Support negotiation of key deal terms and coordinate with external counsel and advisors.
- Support integration planning and synergy tracking with business and functional leaders.
- Prepare materials and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Assess cross‑border considerations, including regulatory, tax, and cultural factors.
- Work seamlessly across US and UK time zones and balance priorities from two senior stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or equivalent a plus.
- Demonstrable senior‑level M&A experience in real estate, gained at an investment bank, strategy consulting firm, PE firm, or corporate development team.
- Direct experience on real estate M&A transactions preferred (platform, company, or portfolio‑level); property management or real estate services experience strongly preferred.
- Track record of working independently with minimal oversight, managing ambiguity, and driving projects to completion.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comps, precedent transactions, LBO).
- Sharp strategic and analytical judgment, with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior executives and board members.
- Cross‑border transaction experience and willingness to travel internationally.
