Job Summary

The Analyst supports all aspects of the portfolio management functions of the business, including allocation decisions, hold sell decisions, financings, equity raising, and relationship management.

The Portfolio Management team plays a pivotal role in driving value creation for institutional partners and the internal business through effective collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial models to support ongoing portfolio management decisions, including new acquisition activity, hold sell analysis and financing decisions.
  • Assess portfolio performance against budget and underwriting, highlighting exceptions or opportunities.
  • Monitor performance of initiatives and deliver key performance metrics covering leasing performance, income, expense and returns.
  • Oversee preparation of materials and deliverables for presentation to internal committees, current and prospective investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in new venture formation, including preparation of life of fund models and strategy papers, and support entities' creation, structuring and legal documentation.
  • Support the annual rent and budget setting process.
  • Improve reporting systems and data capture to drive visibility and efficiency.
  • Mobilise new assets and portfolios into the business.
  • Monitor and report on key market, industry and competitor data.
  • Complete financial, accounting, narrative, and administrative reports and analyses key to execution of the business plans.
  • Organisational Responsibilities
  • Follow established policies and procedures, monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, organisational standards and operational processes.
  • Demonstrate safe behaviours and report any safety issues to appropriate individuals.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay abreast of current changes in technology, processes and standards through internal and external training.

Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent (2:1 and above) in finance, business management, real estate, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, science or engineering.
  • IT literate with advanced proficiency in Power Point and Excel; experience with AI tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in an analytical role within investment banking, private equity or related finance.
  • Strong quantitative background in financial modelling, valuations and financial analysis.
  • Strong qualitative analytical skills, able to research, analyse and present complex financial data.
  • Highly numerate and detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write and present reports effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain positive relationships at all levels.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Inquisitive, commercially minded, and eager to understand the bigger picture and solve problems.
  • Positive team player, adaptable, flexible and collaborative, supporting team and business objectives.
