To contribute to an exceptional resident experience through the provision of a high standard of repairs and maintenance tasks. To inspect and diagnose faults and repairs in addition to undertaking minor day to day repairs and decoration to the building(s), grounds and equipment.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a supportive Community Team to ensure the property remains well‑presented and well‑maintained for all residents.
  • Main focus will be painting and decorating, supported by general maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out high‑quality painting and decorating across apartments and communal areas.
  • Prepare surfaces through filling, sanding, patch repairs, and priming.
  • Maintain stock of paints and decorating materials and ensure efficient planning of works.
  • Complete a range of repairs including basic plumbing, joinery/carpentry, lighting maintenance, and minor fixes.
  • Use TCAS or Base 360 to manage and complete tasks on time and to a high standard.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records in line with company procedures.
  • Support with emergency callouts and coordinate contractors when needed.
  • Ensure communal areas and refuse points are clean, safe, and well maintained.
  • Assist with moving furniture and heavy items around site.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with RAMS and permits.
  • Accompany contractors on site and support with secure key management.
  • Ensure annual checks on contractor insurance and qualifications are completed.
  • Conduct or support statutory testing including PAT tests, emergency lighting checks, and fire alarm tests.
  • Maintain safe and tidy gardens and grounds, supervising external contractors when required.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, reporting incidents promptly.

About You

  • GCSE/O‑Level education or equivalent, with strong written and numerical skills.
  • A recognised trade qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, Building Crafts) in painting/decorating or property maintenance.
  • Experience in residential painting, decorating, and general repairs.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Friendly, professional communicator with a helpful attitude.
  • Able to work independently and deliver cost‑effective repair solutions.
  • Contractor supervision experience is desirable.
