The Investment Manager is responsible for underwriting investment opportunities, providing financial analyses to support investment decisions, conducting market research and leading the execution of investment and development transactions. Day to day duties include sourcing opportunities, analysing due diligence materials and transaction documents and preparing & presenting investment memoranda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in sourcing, preparing and presenting new investment memos, financing or disposition recommendations and updates on existing investments or portfolio status.
  • Manage acquisition due diligence processes and closings with outside counterparties, managing external advisors.
  • Actively engaging with owners, brokers, equity partners, lenders, attorneys, consultants and all other related internal departments, as appropriate.
  • Financial analysis and underwriting of investment opportunities, including running detailed multi-tier pro-forma waterfall models, working closely with Development, Asset Management and Operations teams to ensure all assumptions have been reviewed and are coordinated.
  • Engaging with lenders to negotiate termsheets and long form agreements and navigate internal approval processes (with support from in-house counsel).
  • Assist with asset management, value-add execution and disposition of existing portfolio assets.
  • Market investigation of potential acquisitions, competitive properties and local market fundamentals.
  • Support the development of new and junior hires through financial investment training and best practices.
  • Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
  • Monitors and reports on key market, industry and competitor data.

About You

You’re a highly skilled real estate investment professional with significant experience managing complex transactions and negotiations. Educated to degree level, ideally with an MBA, you bring advanced Excel and strong numeracy, and a solid grasp of housing and third party management models. Analytical and detail driven, you confidently assess risks, model cash flows, and present financial insights that support smart decision making. A natural communicator, you influence at all levels, build strong relationships, and produce clear, impactful reports. Organised and adaptable, you manage projects and people with confidence, balancing deadlines and change while driving performance across the team.
