We are representing a fast-growing, award-winning events and media business seeking a high-performing Senior Sales Executive to join their team and play a key role in the continued growth of one of the UK’s largest and most influential built environment exhibitions.
This is a commercially focused sales role where you will be responsible for driving revenue through the sale of exhibition space and sponsorship packages across a flagship construction industry event that connects contractors, housebuilders, developers, architects, engineers and suppliers.
The Role
As Senior Sales Executive, you will take ownership of a defined sales territory and be responsible for generating new business, managing key client relationships and maximising revenue across exhibition stands and sponsorship opportunities. You will work closely with internal teams including marketing, operations and content to ensure strong delivery for clients, while actively contributing to the ongoing commercial growth and development of the event. You will proactively identify and convert new business opportunities within the construction and built environment sectors, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals, while maintaining and growing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding individual sales targets across exhibition space and sponsorship revenue.
- You will maintain high levels of outbound activity including calls, meetings and client engagement to consistently build pipeline and drive revenue performance.
- You will develop and manage relationships across the construction industry, including contractors, developers, housebuilders, architects, consultants and suppliers, ensuring strong account management and repeat business.
- You will identify and convert new commercial opportunities within the UK construction and built environment market, positioning UK Construction Week as the leading platform for industry engagement.
- You will manage your pipeline effectively using CRM systems, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting and revenue tracking.
- You will attend UK Construction Week events and relevant industry gatherings to build relationships, represent the brand and drive commercial opportunities.
- You will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery for clients, including marketing support, sponsorship activation and operational coordination.
- You will ensure all contracts are executed correctly and payments are managed in line with credit control procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have 1–2+ years’ experience in sponsorship, exhibition or B2B media sales. You will be confident in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and comfortable managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close. You will be commercially driven, proactive and highly motivated by revenue targets, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels within the construction industry. Experience or strong interest in the construction, infrastructure or built environment sector would be highly advantageous. You will be a confident communicator, both over the phone and in face-to-face meetings, and thrive in a high-performance sales environment.
